Will Morris Reversible Pimpernel Strawberry Thief Pillowcase

This beautiful double-sided pillowcase boasts on one side an attractive Pimpernel pattern created by William Morris in 1876 and on the other, the popular printed-textile design known as Strawberry Thief created by Morris as well in 1883. William Morris (1834-1896) was an English textile designer, poet novelist, translator, and social activist and was a major contributor to the revival of traditional British textile arts and methods of production. Much of his work can be found in art galleries and museums and his designs are still in production. Although best known in his lifetime as a poet, Morris is recognized as one of the most significant cultural figures of Victorian Britain.
