Wild One animal mother and baby Poster

Wild One: one week old and born in the wild, that is. This poster features the new baby of mother Gara, an orangutan whose life story and infant photo from the the 1970's appear in the book REFLECTIONS OF EDEN. The female baby's name is Geri, ahd her mommy - Gara - is one of many OFI success stories. More than 30 years ago, Dr. Galdikas rescued Gara from an unhappy life as a chained, illegal pet. After rehabilitation, Gara was released back into protected areas of the rain forest where she has lived and raised her own offspring for all these years. This photo is also available as a note card and other "WILDLIFE" products in my gallery.
