These deer were lounging, unafraid, in an orchard. The buck (middle picture) is really pretty big, but when he laid down in the grass, all you could see was his head and magnificent antlers. The antlers are still growing anf covered in "velvet". This covering provides nutrients to the growing rack, and will dry and be rubbed off as rutting season arrives.
