In the Book of Revelation in the New Testament, the rider of the white horse is the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The rider is described as carrying a bow and receiving a crown while conquering. The horse's colour, white, is said to represent righteousness, and some interpret the rider as Jesus Christ. This interpretation is supported by Christ's later appearance on a white horse in the Book of Revelation
