What is this Conversation and Why am I in it? Long Apron

Sometimes you need to express something that doesn't really have a word. Incredulity comes close. When I was in high school, my sister and I were having a fight. (Fight in quotation marks. No fists.) Yelling and screaming and totally not hearing each other. Finally she stopped, stood dead still, stared at me with huge, gawking eyes then yelled with restraint, clipping her words. "What is this conversation and why am I in it????" What indeed? We both burst out laughing and soon enough the riff had passed. Over the years since then, I have had several opportunities to recall her words. Sometimes it's the ONLY phrase that really sums up the way you're feeling! Sometimes even life feels like that, not just a fight. This is for you on those days.
