Snow blankets the landscape as the sunlight reflects off the frozen surface of the wetland pond, creating a winter wonderland. The ponds also lie within an area in New Jersey known as the Pine Barrens or the Pinelands. The New Jersey Pine Barrens are comprised largely of pitch pine and oaks.
