The Wedding Blanket - Mimbres Pottery Design Many Mimbres Pottery dishes were excavated out of the Gila Wilderness in New Mexico. The image you see is close to the original design however I have added colour and texture to artistically enhance the image. The male and female laying under a blanket is possibly suggesting a union ceremony. Notice the females eyes, possibly the female is expressing her emotions as well as recording the event.
