Impressionist floral masterpiece painting of bridge arching over pond laden with white, pink and yellow tinged water lilies and perhaps other aquatic flowers painted by Claude Monet as part of a series of twelve paintings featuring this water lilies motif. This famous painting, a prime example of Impressionism, was executed in 1889 on Monet’s farm in Givenry, France. This painting is unusual within the series as it is one of the few using a vertical format ~ thus bringing into relief the water lilies and their reflections in the pond.
