Washington Crossing the Delaware by Emanuel Leutze Kitchen Towel
Vintage illustration travel and transportation design featuring a fine art Victorian Era painting titled Washington Crossing the Delaware, 1851. By artist Emanuel Leutze. It commemorates General George Washington's crossing of the icy Delaware River during the American Revolutionary War with military soldiers carrying the American Flag on the night of December 25th, 1776. That historical action was the first move in a surprise attack against the Hessian forces at Trenton, New Jersey in the Battle of Trenton. The flag of the United States of America at this time was not the current stars and stripes that is pictured, the historically accurate flag would have been the Grand Union Flag, officially hoisted by Washington himself on January 2, 1776.

I was actually surprised by the quality. The material feels like it can handle the wash and the print seems to be set deep in the fibers. BUT I have not washed it yet. The printing was accurate and looks like it can handle washing.

Wow, I thought the fabric might have been hard and scratchy, but it's super soft, brilliant idea to have in a MCM kitchen! Colours are true to their photos on Zazzle, they are perfect!
