"Wall of Waves - Cream" Greeting Card

This is actually a photograph of the Puget Sound. I took it from the Coastal Starlight Train on my way to Portland. Those are the tree line on the bottom and clouds in the sky. Amazing clouds. I enjoy playing with the photos I take. After playing with this image for a while it began to bring the power of a Tsunami to my mind. I, like so many people, was touched by the loss of life and livelihood of those hit by Japan's earthquake and Tsunami in 2011. I love Japanese art. Richmond California and Shimada Japan are Sister Cities. In the early 70's our family hosted a wonderfully sweet Sensei (Teacher) from Japan. She stayed with us while she taught a form of batik on to lambskin. It was a beautiful technique. She was so much fun. It was one of the best summers of my Teen years. I did the best I could with writing the title of the piece "Wall of Water" in Japanese on the upper left hand of the piece. I sincerely hope I have not mangled the spelling. I apologise if I have. I don't really know where to go to get it checked.
