CALENDAR INDUSTRIAL GRUNGE ... by Robert G. Kernodle features exciting colour renditions of public domain, black-and-white photographs whose subjects are related to industrial mechanisms and industrial structures, dating from the late nineteenth century to the early and later twentieth century.
The original black-and-white photographs have been rendered in unusual colours and distressed textures, to produce a grungy, abstract, contemporary feel.
In other words, the strategy here is not clean separation of coloured areas to portray historical accuracy, but rather ragged gradations, which give a rugged, dreamy feel to ordinary industrial forms.

Firstly, I gave my mom a rescued bengal cat this past spring and I have been taking photos for her of her cat Maya. Instead of simply developing the photos and sending these to her by mail as we do not live close to one another, I let my imagination soar with Zazzle, added the best photos for the calender and added fun quotes to embelish each photo. Yes, it took time and a bit of effort, but if you had heard her intense delight to the calendar, gushing about the wuality of the print, the paper and how well made the calendar is, even her saying "not even one hundred dollars would not have made me happier than I am now. This is the perfect way to start my day and now I can show my cat to everyone when I leave the house!". I know she will bring it with her over the holidays to brag.
So if you are seeking an original gift, made with a bit of effort on your part if you plan ahead, I cannot think of a better way to do this. Make a calendar and let your imagination soar and surprise gift aomeone you care about! Beautifully printed, photos came out quite professional and the black and white print in my calendar is 100% quality.
