Vintage Wain Black Cat Moon Tea Towel

The illustration on this cute kitchen towel showing silhouettes of cats dancing under the moon is by famous English feline artist Louis Wain (1860-1919). Called Black Cat Moon, it was originally published in black and white around 1919. I've added a dash of colour to the magical scene by colouring the face of the man in the moon yellow and painting his lips in red. Below him, the little black cats hold hands as they dance in a snowy forest, staring up at him. He's winking down at them with a conspiratorial smile.
