Vintage Vinegar Valentine - The Show Off, Holiday Card

In the late 1880s to 1940s, Vinegar Valentines were a popular way to send a message to someone you didn't like or someone you wanted to prank. They had rude but funny messages about a type of person that was written as an insult. This card pokes fun at people who like to show off to gain constant attention. A woman does a hand stand with her feet in the air and little flags held between her toes. A man balances a chair on his nose without spilling a drink that sits upon the chair. The verse on the front of the card is: "Show Off - You claim you're good at anything! So, come on, show some proof. And let me see how good you are at jumping off the roof!" The inside of the card is blank for your own message.
