Vintage - The Twelve Dancing Princesses,

A vintage children's book illustration by Anne Anderson from the German fairy tale "The Twelve Dancing Princesses." It depicts the twelve princesses being rowed across a lake by twelve princes toward the castle where they will dance the night away. The Scottish-born artist, Anne Anderson (1874-1952), spent her childhood in Argentina, and moved to England as a young adult. She was known for her art nouveau children’s book illustrations. She also painted, etched and designed greeting cards and postcards.
