This is a 1932 photograph of the Boardwalk (Beach) at Coney Island in New York City. This photo is absolutely amazing. There is so much to see. There are hundreds of vignettes of activity. Women wearing umbrella hats. Men wearing suspended bathing suits. In the background, you can see the mighty Thunderbolt Roller Coaster rising up over the Boardwalk. The Merry Go Round is visible to the left. The Boardwalk is crowded with hundreds of people.
