Hopi Pueblo (1907) by Louis Akin is a vintage American West fine art portrait daily life painting. A street scene of the Native American Hopi Indians in the Oraibi Pueblo, Arizona. About the artist: Louis Benton Akin (1868-1913) is most known for his paintings of the Grand Canyon and Hopi Indian life. He lived in Flagstaff, Arizona on the Hopi reservation in Oraibi on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. He was inducted into the Hopi's secret society and given the name "Mapli" upon finishing a series of paintings of the tribe.
