Vintage - Little Girl in the Kitchen,

A vintage illustration by Frances Brundage of a little girl alongside a small table and a set of three mixing bowls in the kitchen. She lifts the smallest of the three bowls to her lips to sample its contents. The artist, Frances Brundage (1854-1937) was born in Newark, NJ and was best known for illustrations of beautiful, adorable children on postcards, calendars, and holiday cards, particularly Valentines. She later lived and worked in Washington, D.C., Massachusetts and New York. She was ahead of her time in that her diverse artwork also included Native American, African American, Dutch and Irish children. A prolific artist, she also illustrated novels and literary collections. This card is blank inside for your own message.
