Vintage Lake Geneva Chillon Castle Poster

From a late 19th century postcard, at super high resolution (all sizes), retouched and colours restored. The Château de Chillon (Chillon Castle) is an island castle located on the shore of Lake Geneva in the commune of Veytaux, at the eastern end of the lake, 3 km from Montreux, Switzerland. The boats of Lake Geneva (also called Meillerie boats) were typical boats on Lake Geneva (Lac Léman), with large lateen sails. They crossed Lake Geneva until the early twentieth century and were originally used for transporting heavy materials. Today, five boats are in existence for leisure and tourism. However, only 2 of them (La Neptune and La Vaudoise) are (restored) originals.
