Vintage Japanese Yokai Otoroshi Magnet
The Otoroshi (おとろし) is an ogre-like yokai monster with lots of hair. There is no historical information about this creature's behaviours, but in the modern era, he has acquired the trait of lurking atop torii gates at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. He springs down on troublemakers when they pass by. This is a reproduction of a picture scroll drawn by Sawaki Suushi in 1737, part of the Hyakkai-Zukan, or The Illustrated Volume of a Hundred Spirits.
