This beautiful vintage Japanese poster for cat owners features a handsome brown and white cat with sage green eyes hunting an unsuspecting spider inside a house. The painting shows him staring intently at the spider from behind a decorated screen door as he is about to pounce! The pampered house cat wears a beautiful red, blue and green butterfly patterned scarf round his neck. The original painting is by artist Oide Makoto (Toko), 1841-1905. The poster would make a great housewarming, new home or new pet gift for lovers of vintage cat art.
