A vintage children's book illustration by Honour C. Appleton depicting a little girl engrossed in reading a large book. She sits on pillows on the floor, bent over the book in her lap. A window provides her bright sunlight in which to read. Several other books and a doll are on the floor beside her. Honour C. Appleton (1879-1951) was an English illustrator and artist who illustrated over 150 books in her career, beginning with children’s books and moving to literary classics.
