Vintage Girl and Her Kitten,

Vintage artwork by Emile Vernon featuring a smiling little girl of yesteryear sitting on a porch step while playing with her kitten. A bowl of milk and an apple are on the step beside her, and a slice of bread in her lap. She seems to be laughing while holding the wiggling kitten up off her lap and trying to keep it away from her food. She wears a cute Colonial-style mop top hat with cherries tucked in by the stems around the hat band. The artist, Emile Vernon (1872-1919), was a French fine arts painter who specialized in watercolors. He enjoyed painting women and children in bucolic settings, sometimes with their pets. He lived and worked primarily in Paris. This card is blank inside for your own message.
