Vintage Franz Marc Dreaming Horse Tile

Incorporated into the design of this product is a beautiful reproduction of "Dreaming Horse" created in 1913 by Franz Marc | Current location of original work: Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Manhattan, New York City. Franz Marc was a German painter and print-maker and one of the main characters of the German Expressionist movement. He was a founding member of The Blue Rider, a journal whose name would later become identical with the circle of artists collaborating in it. Marc was born February 8, 1880 in Munich, Germany to a father who was a professional landscape painter. His career was cut short by his early death on March 4, 1916 after suffering head injury at the Battle of Verdun during World War 1.
