Our cheerful, inspirational mug for gardeners, vegetable growers and allotment holders features a vintage British WW2 poster of a pretty brunette with a big smile on her face as she triumphantly shows off her prize vegetable, a nutritious cauliflower grown in her own garden at home. She has a Forties style hairdo and is dressed in a colourful red shirt. She is leaning on a red garden fence beside her gardening tools, a rake and hoe. The caption reads, Dig for Victory. Grow your own Vegetables. The poster was produced by the British War Information Office during the Second World War to encourage people to help the war effort and reduce food shortages by growing their own food at home.
