Vintage Cyclist Race Gift Mug

Called ‘Wheelmen in a red hot finish,’ our vintage gift mug for cycling fans shows an artist’s illustration of a close run finish of a cycling race by artist John Cameron. All of the cyclists sport handlebar moustaches and all look determined to win on their vintage bicycles. To the right of the bikers, the judges stand on a platform beside the finishingl bell. In the background there is gently rolling countryside with hills in the distance. Created around 1894, the bike race poster was first published by American printmakers Currier & Ives, and the original image is courtesy of the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division. The mug would be a great gift for racing cycling fans and cyclists. Dads who are into cycling would appreciate the tshirt as a Father’s Day gift.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
