Vintage Christmas Sleighs, Central Park in Winter Magnet

Vintage illustration Christmas holiday design originally published by Currier & Ives titled Central Park in Winter, c.1880. This love and romance design features happy couples riding around in romantic horse drawn sleighs on snow in the moonlight. Ice skaters skating on a frozen lake under a full moon in the night sky. Currier and Ives was a successful American printmaking firm headed by Nathaniel Currier (1813–1888) and James Merritt Ives (1824–1895) based in New York City from 1834 to 1907. The prolific firm produced prints from paintings by fine artists as black and white lithographs that were hand coloured.
