It says "A Merry Christmas" in a banner across the top, in front of a little Christmas village. The old-fashioned girl is in a vintage Christmas coat and hat, with vintage clothing, shoes, and a long scarf to stay warm. The little Christmas birds surround her as she reads through "Santa Claus Book Good and Bad Children"

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
