Vintage Cardui Medicine For Women Print

This print was taken from an actual ad that appeared in the Arizona Republican in February of 1911. It is digitally brought back to life and presented here on poster paper. It is recommended that you upgrade to heavy duty matte if framing as a print. It is sized at a standard 10 by 8 and can be enlarged to 20" by 24" that is perfect for framing here or on your own. The product "Cardui" was a medicine for women and apparently cured menstrual cramps. It was originally marketed as "McElree's Cardui, The Woman's Tonic." In the 1920s product, the ingredients were listed as: Blessed Thistle, Golden Seal, and 19% alcohol and would be considered "snake oil" by todays standards.
