Vintage Boston City Seal Coffee Mug

Stylish coffee mug features the vintage seal for the city of Boston MA in white on dark blue background. It became the official seal in 1914 and is a circular image that features: a view of the City of Boston, the motto, “SICUT PATRIBUS, SIT DEUS NOBIS” (which means, “God be with us as he was with our fathers”), and the inscription, “BOSTONIA CONDITA AD. 1630 CIVITATIS REGIMINE DONATA AD. 1822.”

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
