Vintage Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Binder

Vintage illustration Victorian Era classic children's black and white fairy tales story images by Sir John Tenniel in Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, 1865. Front cover Image: Alice meets the Cheshire Cat who is up in a tree in the forest. Alice is portrayed as a quaintly logical girl, sometimes even pedantic. She is seven years old but acts much older. The Cheshire Cat is a striped Tabby known for his distinctive mischievous grin and is a mischief maker. Back cover image: Alice becomes a guest at a "mad" tea party along with the March Hare, the Hatter, and a sleeping Dormouse. The other characters give Alice many riddles and stories, including the famous 'Why is a raven like a writing desk?'. The Hatter reveals that they have tea all day because time has punished him by eternally standing still at 6 pm (tea time). Alice becomes insulted and tired of being bombarded with riddles and she leaves claiming that it was the stupidest tea party that she had ever been to.
