Vintage 30s Shanghai Scene Bundpark Sassoon House Postcard

Enjoy this vintage photograph from Shanghai, China circa the 1930s! This image features passersby at the Bundpark and Sassoon House Building. In 1872, Jewish British-man Elias David Sassoon founded the new E.D.Sassoon & Co in Bombay and set up its branch in Shanghai in 1877. Up to 1929, this new building of E.D.Sassoon & Co of Shanghai Branch was finished. The architectural style was very modern for its time. Today, it is the Fairmont Peace Hotel. The back of our postcards features vintage art deco-era Chinese borders and red lanterns (designed with elements from www.vecteezy.com.
