Vintage 1894 Antwerp World Exposition Postcard

From our poster with the same name. Restored and colours enhanced. This ad was made in cooperation with the Chemin De Fer du Nord (Northern Railways) of France to be displayed exclusively in French train stations. The bottom of the poster shows a time table and the ticket prices from major French train stations and from London (Londres) to Antwerp. The poster also shows a woman, Antwerp Central Station (still for a large part the same building even today), the port of Antwerp, a statiue of a Lion, the Coat of Arms of Antwerp and the 404 feet high Cathedral of Our Lady, containing several paintings of local Flemish painter Peter Paul Rubens. The cathedral is also on the list of Unesco World Heritage Sites. On top of the poster, which is entirely in French, as it was intended for the French train travelers, it also says that the Expo was held under the patronage of His Majesty the King of Belgium.
