Vincent Van Gogh - Irises Brushed Polyester Tree Skirt

Irises, painted in 1889 in oil on canvas by Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Van Gogh painted the irises soon after arriving at Saint-Rémy, working in the garden while adapting to his new surroundings. The mass of sword-like leaves and blossoms fills the canvas almost edge to edge, with one pale flower standing apart from the darker violets. He regarded the picture as a study, but Theo sent it to the 1889 Salon des Indépendants, where it appeared alongside The Starry Night.
