Victorian Silver Writing Box on Sherpa Blanket

Comfy and elegant Sherpa Blankets are available in several sizes–Large, Medium and Small all printed with the same historical information. Vintage one-tone engraving plate from the book, Treasury of Ornamental Art, Illustrations of Objects of Art and Vertù, published as a museum catalogue in 1858. Artist Francis Bedford and co-author Sir John Charles Robinson illustrated and wrote the book of plates about the treasures represented in England's Museum of Ornamental Art. The fine silver and lacquered ornate writing box was prominently displayed at the Great Exhibition of 1851–now is part of London's Marlborough House Collection of exemplary and artful manufacturing.
