Unique Blue Three Rabbits Hares Tile Mural Design Postcard

In rich blue shades on grey /white, my interpretation of an ancient design features three rabbits or hares sharing just three ears and chasing each other in a circle. My art was originally painted on glazed and kiln fired tiles as a four-tile mural. The traditional folk verse in the border reads, "Rabbits three and ears as few / Yet each rabbit has its two." This ancient design is found in old art and architecture throughout Europe and the middle east. The corners of the tiles are decorated with stylized birds and floral motifs inspired by chinoiserie blue and white pottery. The background is textured blue with thin grey stripes. The postcard's reverse is textured light grey. A unique, whimsical yet elegant postcard, suitable for any occasion. Original artwork & design by Tuzi Williams.
