Title : 上野清水堂 (Ueno Kiyomizudō / うえのき よみずどう / Kiyomizu Hall, Ueno) The Kiyomizu Kannon Hall in Ueno is a stage-style hall modelled after Kiyomizu Temple in Higashiyama, Kyoto, and was built in 1631 by 天海大僧正(Tenkai Daisōjō). Author :川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui / かわせ はすい) 川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui (May 18, 1883 - November 7, 1957)) was a woodblock print artist active during the Taisho and Showa periods. He established the world of new prints in an attempt to revive the declining Japanese ukiyoe prints. His works were highly acclaimed overseas, and he has been called the "Hiroshige of the Showa period.
