Hinomisaki is located at the western end of Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, with a rugged coastline and dynamic scenery of cliffs and strange rocks. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Shimane Prefecture. Artist :川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui / かわせ はすい) Kawase Hasui (May 18, 1883 - November 7, 1957) was a woodblock print artist active during the Taisho and Showa periods. He established the world of new prints in an attempt to revive the declining Japanese ukiyoe prints. His works were highly acclaimed overseas, and he has been called the "Hiroshige of the Showa period.
