Two Snow People Watercolor Magic Winter Scene Holiday Card
“There seems a magic in the very name of Christmas”. Charles Dickens, Sketches by Boz (1836)
This quote lit my imagination for a Christmas scene where we can imagine the magic bringing life to Mr and Mrs. Snowman.
I painted them standing close together (if ‘standing’ is the proper word for a ball of snow resting on the ground). Dressed well with black top hat on him and red cap on her they both have coloured scarves of green and red for the season.
They have the company of a bird who just emerged from the pole mounted birdhouse. In the background we see a green fir Christmas tree having a large gold star at the top.
Blue sky and generous snow on the ground make for a very nice day for these two snow people.

We loved how they turned out! I think next year I'll make sure to add some shine to the cards. I think it may help the picture look better. It was a little dull but my husband liked them like that. Overall great! The cutting wasn't the best! I'd say about 10 or so had to be hand cut before I sent them out. They had a bit of white showing from where they had been cut between the pictures. Overall though we were very happy! Looked a bit dull but could be because they were matte.
