Two of Wands Mug

Two of Wands is one of the most confusing cards in Astore Faber’s deck, and rightly so. It symbolizes confusion, indecisiveness, overwhelm, and stagnation. The clay pot, the wands that seem to be attached to each other, the strange, entranced figure that resembles a clown — all these symbols serve as reminders of the fragility of our lives, ever‑changing circumstances, the eternal cycle of universal existence, and the complexities of navigating the unstable seas of existence, wildly adorned with pearls of occasional absurdity. The colours expand these meanings and open the field of interpretation even further. Some may find this surprising, but in Astore Faber’s mythological system, brown is a colour of healing — specifically, the final phase of a healing process. Orange is a social colour, the colour of collaboration and contact. Warm yellow represents socially oriented ideas, fantasies, and dreams. White is the absence of all interpretation, the clarity of intention. Blue reflects ideas inspired by universal wisdom. Warm earthly green connects us to the physical world, while emerald green expresses our attempt to find justice and balance. Taken together, the symbolic images and colours — in all their apparent silliness — indicate that choice is not a single act but a union of all aspects of ourselves and the world around us.
