Two Canary Birds in a Cage (by Antonio Donghi) Tile

This design features a painting by the Italian artist Antonio Donghi (1897–1963). It shows two yellow canary birds sitting on a wooden perch in their metal cage. The birds are facing in opposite directions from each other, so one bird's tail is next to the other bird's head. There appears to be a piece of lettuce or some other greenery at the bottom of the cage. The cage is resting on a table, which is covered by a green tablecloth. The table is up against the wall, which is decorated in orangey brown wallpaper. The yellow birds seem relaxed and contented in their cage.
