Turkish Tile Blue Spiral Micro Pattern Two-Tone Coffee Mug

Turkish Tile Repeated Micro Pattern Based on Tiles in the Rustem Pasha Mosque in Turkey from the Ottoman period. A repeated pattern of spiralling pinwheels. Dark blue, shades of turquoise, white and coral red. William Morris would approve since many of his designs were influenced by Moorish and Islamic patterns.. Many of the tiles from the 1930's Malibu tile factory on the beach in Los Angeles came from these oriental designs as did designs from Morris Co. From an antique slightly offset print, which adds it's own character to this tile patterned pillow - derived from a vintage Turkish design. Compliments Italian Tuscan household effects. I ordered these with interiors of yellow, red, maroon, pink, navy blue, and light blue. Note that the navy blue is VERY dark and looks black in some lighting.
