Facing Tortoise Baby Bodysuit

There are several species of tortoises. Some tortoises, such as the ishigame (stone turtle) and the soft-shelled turtle, live in ponds, while sea turtles live in the ocean. The tortoise that became a family crest is the ishigame. There is a crest shaped like this tortoise with straw-like protrusions all over it. In family crests, this is called a 'Minogame' (straw tortoise). It is thought that this is not a special tortoise separate from the Minogame, but rather a tortoise with algae or other aquatic plants growing on its shell. The 'Kokonchomonju' records that around 1145-1151, a person from western Japan presented a tortoise with hair about one shaku long to the Chisokuin Temple, and it was considered an auspicious tortoise.
