Features a proclamation by the "Sons of Liberty" about their protests against the unfair Stamp Act in 1765. Their broadside notice reads: "Stop! Stop! Stop! No {meaning notice}: Tuesday-Morning December 17, 1765. The True-born Sons of Li- berty, are desired to meet under LIBERTY- TREE, at XII o'Clock THIS DAY, to hear the public Resignation, under Oath, of ANDREW OLIVER, Esq; Distributor of Stamps for the Province of the Massachusetts-Bay. A Resignation? YES." Recreated from an antique Sons of Liberty broadside, and a wonderful bit of American history and Americana. Great for the history buff, American Revolutionary War hero, or anyone who's proud to be American. Black writing.
