Celtic triskelion, the transmission of knowledge among the druids The rotating curved shape of its branches would be symbol of dynamism, movement and enthusiasm in opposition to all that is right and fixed. It is a symbol of life. In Celtic mythology, the pantheon of gods is threefold: Lugh, Daghda, Ogme. The triskelion could represent them. It could also embody the only goddess in her three aspects: daughter, mother, wife. The triskelion could also symbolize the passing of time: past-present-future or the three ages of life (childhood, maturity, old age) the triskelion could embody the different states of human beings: waking, sleeping or dreaming it is also accepted that it could represent the "three worlds": the world of the living, the dead and the world of the spirit.
