Unlike many rabbit breeds that have been around for centuries, the Lionhead was only officially recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) in 2014. They originated in Belgium in the late 1990s, likely as a result of crossing a Swiss Fox with a Netherland Dwarf. They’re known for being friendly, curious, and social, often bonding strongly with humans.
