Originally carved by the gifted Haida craftsmen of Northern British Columbia in Canada, this Totem Pole image makes a fantastic shirt design! This design is another tribute to the concept of Totem Poles and what they represent to the Haida peoples of the region. This pole shows animals like Eagle and Orca, two of the sacred creatures of Haida mythology and real life. These animals are still very important to the indigenous people today. Totem poles are often created as protection for the family they are carved for and often show images that represent family crests and important natural symbols that relate to that family or band. 25% of proceeds from the sale of this item, is donated directly to IFAW, the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
