Tibetan Prayer Flags At Boudhanath Stupa Nepal Jigsaw Puzzle

These colourful prayer flags where photographed by me at Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal just a few months prior to the earthquake. I was in Nepal attending a Stupa Dog Rescue project and tour which benefited a local animal rescue organization just blocks from this famous Buddhist pilgrimage site. This Buddha stupa was built just after the demise of Lord Buddha and is the largest single Chorten in the world. It is said that every time they flap in the wind, they are sending out prayers. This way, hundreds of thousands of prayers can be sent to the world for peace and compassion.
