The Kajuji family, one of the noble families of court nobles, used this crest. This crest was treated with great honor, second only to the Konoe family's peony crest, and was not used by ordinary families. The Kajuji family only granted this crest to powerful clans such as the Nagao, Date, and Mogami. As a result, the crest is mostly found in areas where these clans were located. The warrior families that received this crest from the Kajuji family used a two-sparrow crest, in contrast to the three-sparrow crest used by the court nobles.
