The crest of the hawk feather. Asano Nagamasa's third son, Nagashige, moved from his old domain, Hitachi, to Harima's Ako, where he ruled over 53,000 koku. Although it was a branch clan with a tradition of over 100 years, it was abolished in 1701 due to Nagamori's incident in the palace. This incident led to the revenge attack by the 47 ronin led by Oishi Yoshio (according to Kenichi Takahashi's "The Crests of Daimyo Families"). This design was created with reference to the crest on the gate of Ako City's Oishi Shrine.
