Thoreau Walden Lake Quote Postcard

This postcard features a photograph of Canoe Creek Lake near Hollidaysburg PA. It is one of Pennsylvania's State Parks. The lighting was just right to catch the reflections cast on the lake's surface. The photo lended itself to an inspirational quote from Walden by Henry David Thoreau. The quote is "A lake is a landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature. It is Earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature." This charming photographic landscape definitely has a nice contrast and balance between the trees angling downward from the left side and the clouds doing the same from the right. It gives the photo a pleasant symmetry. The photographer credit is nicely blended into the grass in the bottom right corner.
